Traditional marketing companies, advertising agencies, and design firms love to make beautiful, creative things that win all sorts of awards and look really cool. Well, we’re about as far from traditional as you can get. Because while we like to create great work, what we care about are results. Measurable, provable, undeniable results. See, we believe marketing is a tool to affect business ends. So it has to be measurable, otherwise its success or failure is a big subjective question mark. As far as we’re concerned, if it’s not measurable it’s not successful. Different, yes. Quantifiable, definitely.
We know. “Knowledge-based marketing” sounds like a bunch of marketing language. But this is where the rubber meets the road. See, we believe there’s gold in the transactional data systems of every single business — even if they don’t realize it. That’s why C2 helps mine, maintain, and intelligently use the customer information you already have. So instead of letting all those demographics, buying patterns, and life-cycle behaviors sit around like bumps on a log, we use them to create one-to-one marketing strategies that work their butts off for your bottom line.
Talk to any of our clients and they’ll tell you the same thing — the people at C2 are a little bit different. We don’t care much for dress codes, political correctness, or rigid processes. You’ll never find us micromanaging, hand-holding, or telling each other, “That’s the wrong way to do things.” In fact, as far as we’re concerned, there isn’t a wrong way. Different people deal with different projects in different ways — so it only makes sense to let them be different. That’s why we give everyone who works here the flexibility to do their job however they think is best. Period. If that’s different, we don’t ever want to be ordinary.
It’s no coincidence “same” is a four letter word. At C2, we don’t just accept everyone’s differences, we relish and celebrate them. We’ve never understood the whole corporate vanilla thing. You know what happens when you make everyone dress, act, and work the same way? Nothing good. Everyone at C2, from the partners to the newest hires, has the freedom to be themselves. In our experience — and we have a lot of it — you get people’s best work that way.
Don't let the location fool you. Just because our Wilmington office is located in a vacation paradise, doesn’t mean the lucky people working there are in vacation mode. They're still focused on getting work done quickly, and making sure it’s exactly what our clients need. The only real difference?
A little bit of sand.
First we opened a sister office in Wilmington, NC. Now we’re also in Portland, OR. Our Portland location was created to help service our friends at Daimler. It gives us more of a chance to be a part of their day-to-day operations, which we felt was crucial. Sure, there are some early mornings for those left coasters, and some late nights for the NC offices, but just because we aren’t in the same zone doesn’t mean we aren’t on the same page. Welcome to the family, Portland.
